ESI ASANTE ANTWI
MA Communication Studies, BA Political Science with Spanish
Esi is a founding partner of Mahogany Consult and the Principal PR consultant of the company. She is a multi-talented team player with rich expertise in communications strategy, business development and project management, Esi combines her passion for Communications with an avid interest in public policy. She holds a Master of Arts degree (MA) in Communication Studies (Public Relations and Advertising) from the University of Ghana, Legon. Her dissertation is titled “Attitudes of Broadcast Journalists towards their Professional Ethics.” She also holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and Spanish from the same University.

FRANK KOFI BOADI  
MPhil Communication Studies; BA Theater Arts with Philosophy.
Kofi Boadi is an Associate Communications Consultant at Mahogany Consult. He has worked in varied fields of communication and in social research. Kofi has built up experiences in broadcast journalism as a reporter, newscaster and a substitute news editor. His previous work as Project Officer in a development-oriented consultancy had him lead research teams into urban, peri-urban and rural communities across Ghana, adopting participatory approaches in the research exercises. He also has academic research as well as industry related experiences. Kofi also serves as an adjunct lecturer at the Islamic University College, in Ghana.

Kofi’s qualification includes an MPhil in Communication Studies (University of Ghana, Legon) specializing in Public Relations and Broadcast journalism, and an MSc in Mass Communication (Arkansas State University, Jonesboro) specializing in Journalism. His MPhil thesis, titled “Social media and civic discourse among students of the University of Ghana”, sought to examine Facebook uses for civic conversations among a group of graduate students. This subject was influenced by his interests in the application of new media technologies to enhance social organization. Kofi also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Arts with Philosophy with specialization in radio, television and video production.

Baaba is a founding partner of Mahogany Consult and has expertise in Communications research, Creative Writing, Development and Health communications, Event management and Print Journalism. She also has training and expertise in Theatre and Audiovisual productions. She runs a blog (babsiewrites@wordpress.com), and writes as a freelancer as well. She holds a Master of Philosophy Degree (MPhil) in Communication Studies (Public Relations and Print Journalism) from the University of Ghana, Legon. Her thesis titled Public Relations Practice in the Lighthouse Chapel International (LCI) and the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC). She also holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Theatre Arts (specializing in Theatre Directing and Music) from the same University.

BENJAMIN JOE DANSO
MPhil Communication Studies, BA Philosophy
Benjamin Joe Danso is an associate consultant with Mahogany Consult. He is also a lecturer of Public Relations, Advertising, and Logic & Critical Thinking at the University of Professional Studies Accra (UPSA). He has co-facilitated training workshops for public relations practitioners as a guest lecturer and worked in a number of research teams into skills development and training, and attitudes knowledge and practices for organizations. His proven research skills and experience in the area of communication theories, research, public relations and print journalism are practically useful in helping clients develop requisite PR and communication programs and strategies to address organizational needs. He holds a Master of Philosophy Degree (MPhil) in Communication Studies (Public Relations and Print Journalism) from the School of Communication Studies, University of Ghana, Legon. His Mphil thesis is titled Issues and personalities in election reporting; A content analysis of the Daily Graphic and Daily Guide in 2004 & 2008. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Philosophy from the same University with specialization in Logic & Critical Thinking, Moral Philosophy, Ethics and Theories of Justice.
